```Walker Hayes Indio reviews
Eric Clapton and Roger Daltrey
Roger's voice was very strong, and his band was very tight. He did a set of Who songs, some with different arrangements than what you know. One of the guitar players, with the last name Townsend, looked a lot like Pete but wasn't. He redeemed himself with Baba O’ Riley, but I was disappointed in the changes he made to the first part of "Who are you."
Walker got up there and did what he does best. Despite looking very tired, it did not impact his performance. Being the only guitarist in the band, he was doing all the heavy lifting and was very much up to the task.
He did a lot of blues, which we have come to expect from him considering his love for this genre. This showcased his precision and technical prowess in a far more elevated way than when he was playing the Strat.
The sound and mix at the venue were perfect. Although the facility was packed, making it a challenge to get a drink, go to the restroom, or move around for any reason, the show was great.
This was one of the first performances that I have attended where the video on the large screens spent most of the time zoomed in on his guitar showing his technique, being a guitarist, this was very cool.
He did an acoustic set that was phenomenal. Walker Hayes will not disappoint, so do see him. We were in sec 6 row U, and if the guy whose beer I accidentally kicked over during Walker’s first song is reading this, I am really sorry. You were a very good sport about it.
